Loch Avon

I had the tremendous pleasure of having one of my photographs selected to be used by The Scots Magazine, the oldest magazine in the world, for a feature in their October 2016 edition. The article, a feature on The Cairngorms titled "In Thrall To The Roof Of Scotland", was written by the renowned Scottish journalist and broadcaster Cameron McNeish.

And this is the picture overlooking Loch Avon and taken from near to the summit of A'Choinneach used in the magazine.

This location is situated right in the remote heart of the Cairngorm National Park. A real wilderness with ptarmigan, golden eagles, peregrine falcons often spotted. The views here are immense with the nearby munro's of Bynack More, Beinn Mheadhoin, Ben Macdui and Cairngorm itself dominating the skyline.
